The counselors did a great job. As I listened to my son take the workshop, they were fun and engaging with the scouts. We also messed up the time and signed on late and the stayed after so my son could finish the badge. Great Team!
This was our second MB class with this group. The instructor Alim, was kind, patient and made sure it was a safe place foe all scouts. Come prepared for the class and the scouts do learn a lot. Very interactive and everyone has plenty of chances to participate. Looking forward to more classes.
My scouts attended this virtual MB. It was amazing, they learned a lot and were able to see the difference in planes and a little about history with the virutal tour of Peal Harbor. The counselors were very knowledgable, patient and their goals were to always have the scouts understand the content. Classes are small and interactive so everyone feels they are face to face. Can't wait to attend another MB class. Thank you!
Public Health was a great merit badge class. All the scouts were respectful and the instructor was a wonderful teacher. It was an educational merit badge since I want to be a doctor or a scientist.
Counselor was knowledgeable, energetic and engaging. She pulled participation from every Scout. Excellent job. My son is still exercising 4-5 times a week. Thank you!
This was by far the most well run virtual merit badge class my son has completed this summer. Alim, the merit badge counselor, ran an excellent session, keeping all scouts engaged and contributing to the discussion. A+ experience!
This was a great opportunity and my scout learned a lot. He enjoyed the class thoroughly and appreciated all the work done for it. He plays three instruments, one at school, so he has more experience than some with music classes, even online. He enjoyed the class discussion and hearing from other scouts with both more and less experience playing instruments than he has.
If your scout has the camping nights, this class is the perfect way to finish the requirements during quarantine. The instructor kept all of the scouts involved in the discussion, and kept good track of which ones were new and which ones had the experience to answer the questions and explain things. While the scout needs the camping nights to complete the badge, a new scout would certainly benefit from learning the basics, especially with opportunities to camp so limited at the moment.
My Life Scout has been trying to complete this merit badge for at least a year. We’ve never before found a counselor, and he’s had a class cancelled because he was the only one registered. This was the second of three (so far) classes he’s taken “in” Hawaii, and they’ve all been really good. In our time of online-only Scouting, this class is also very timely. I hope more scouts take it to learn about pandemics and protecting public health. The teacher was good at keeping the whole class involved and my scout could explain the concepts to me afterward. Thank you!
The counselor made the class very fun, helpful, and engaging. He gave everyone time to present their prerequisties to the class and was very patient. He kept the whole class engaged and participating. 5 stars!
